These plant pots were created with the symbiotic relation of all living things in mind. The human presence is within the plant pot, represented by small found objects. Each plant pot tells a story of interdependence…

Image 2. A Love Story, between the Ant and the Sedum
Ants increase soil aeration by making tunnels. This is perfect for sedum plants, who require a dry free draining soil. In return the ant receives a sweet treat of honeydew.

Image 3. The Owl in the Oak
The oak provides an important lookout site and nesting place for the barn owl. In return, the owl feeds on a variety of small animals around the tree, helping to maintain a healthy balance of wildlife.

Image 4. The Hitchhiking Dandelion
In 1620 the Mayflower ship unknowingly transported dormant dandelion seeds, carried in animal fodder, grain supplies and bedding. The dandelions were used to make medicine, as well as wine.
